Elevate Pick n Pay's Cricket Super Cards collectibles campaign.
In advance of the 2019 Cricket World Cup, Pick n Pay wanted to create a fun and interactive campaign that incorporated the Cricket theme.
Introducing a new way to engage with the national team.
For a limited time, Pick n Pay rewarded every R150 spent at their stores with 2 free collectable cards from a special series including 60 of South Africa’s most famous male and female Protea players as well as stadiums and even the Protea's mascot.
Drawing on the success of their Super Animals AR campiagn, the cricket campaign was accompanied by an augmented reality mobile app that enables users to scan their Super Cards and see their favourite players pop up in 3D augmented reality.
The app also includes a digital collection album, where users can view all the cards that they have collected as well as a quiz and an addictive mini-game.
