94% of South Africans cannot afford to retire, yet are compelled to do so at the age of 65. Limited access to trusted advise, insufficient funds, and conusion about reitrement options leave many ill-prepared for this crucial stage of life.

After extensive work with Accenture, Alex Forbes wanted to find a way to make real-time actuarial data tangible and meaningful for their customers who were seeking retirement planning guidance.

The solution

Empowering individuals with a personalised learning experience tailored to their financial decisions.

Using the principles of playful design, Sea Monster designed a fun, intuitive step-by-step process for people to create a personalised picture of their own future.

Through interactive elements, My Retirement Picture enables users to see how their financial position will change and develop over the years to give people confidence and insight when planning for their post-retirement chapter of life.
