Pick ‘n Pay were seeking a way to take the Super Animals in-store collectables campaign to the next level with something cutting edge that needed to be measurable, targeted and educational.
A new way to engage with the animals of South Africa.
Using a unique system of badges, rewards and augmented reality technology, we developed the Super Animals campaign companion app with the objective of sharing educational animal content to consumers whilst driving collection behaviour and encouraging users to head back to the store to collect more cards and complete their 108 card pack.
App users are encouraged to take selfies with 'The Big 5' and share them to major social media platforms thus extending the reach of Pick ‘n Pay’s social media exposure for the campaign and increasing the length and quality of engagement consumers had with Pick n Pay post purchase.
